Armed police stopped a vehicle travelling between Clyde and Cromwell this afternoon, apprehended a man and found firearms in the vehicle. A police spokeswoman said a man had been taken into custody. A search of the vehicle was ongoing and police believe a number of firearms were present in the vehicle. "The situation is evolving, but police believe we have located the person of interest and there is no further risk to public safety at this time," police said.
