Big organisations in Wellington are scrambling to find temporary work places, as the future of their office buildings hang in the balance. As a result, commercial property agents have been inundated with calls to help businesses find short-term, and in some cases long-term, office space. Companies were considering all options - including office space on the fringes of the city, Hutt Valley, and Porirua, he said. Technology firm Springload head of business development Alan Doak​ said it had offered conference rooms to Kiwibank and Red Cross, among others, as temporary office space.
