LSD stamp seizures from various parts of the State too have prompted the police to have a better vigil in these areas. Flash inspections in all suspicious locations, including hotels, migrant labour camps, New Year party locations, homestays and outdoor camping spots, are planned. The purpose of procuring the costly drug was to spice up a New Year party comprising students. Other than the tourism spots and homestays, short-term rental services too would be brought under the scanner of local police stations. Excise Department officials said their special checking drive against liquor smuggling would be continued till the end of the season.
