The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has found “superbug” fungus outbreaks reported from on nursing home in Washington, D.C. and two hospitals in the Dallas area. The reported “superbug” fungus is called Candida auris. As reported by USA Today, the cluster in the Washington D.C. nursing home has 101 cases of the “superbug” Candida auris. In three of the infection cases, the fungus was found resistant to all 3 types of antifungal medicine. No link has been reported as yet in these fungal infections and COVID-19, unlike the Black, Yellow and White Fungus cases reported from India.
