CAIRO – 29 April 2021: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi greeted, Thursday Egyptian Copts living abroad on the occasion of the Easter. In a cable published by Egyptian embassies and consulates on their official social media pages, the president also prayed to Allah to protect them, Egypt and the whole world. The spokesman said in statements that the scaled-down Easter mass came in light of preventive measure taken to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. The pontiff will receive no worshippers wishing to offer greetings over the occasion to avoid crowds, the spokesman added. He also supplicated to God to spare humanity the repercussions of the plague, cure the patients and protect Egypt from any evil.
