Nigeria has reportedly cut its electricity supply to Niger as part of the Economic Community of West African States’ (ECOWAS) attempt to roll back the coup threatening the region’s stability. Quoting Niger’s electricity company Nigelec, the BBC said power shortages are a result of Nigeria cutting supplies to its northern neighbour.
