NewsThe Government hopes to implement the 'priority bus lane' project throughout the island in future, Megapolis and Western Development Patali Champika Ranawaka said. He was speaking to journalists after the first stage of the priority bus lanes was implemented today (15). Priority bus lanes will be in effect from 6.00am to 9.00am every day. Speaking at the launch of the project today, Minister Ranawaka emphasized that this was a permanent measure and not a trial run. CCTV cameras and GPS technology will be used to ensure compliance on bus only lanes.
