Trains, buses and passenger jeepney will again serve commuters in Metro Manila beginning today, Wednesday, as President Rodrigo Duterte eased quarantine controls in several areas. The Department of Transportation on Tuesday said rail network and operators of various public utility vehicles are ready to serve commuters under the general community quarantine. The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board will deploy traditional jeepney and UV Express vehicle units. About 1,600 UV Express vehicle units, meanwhile, would serve 51 routes in Metro Manila. In addition, 364 Point-to-Point buses will operate in 33 routes, 20,493 taxis and 23,776 transport network vehicle service units will be available.
