This time the whole country including Dhaka will be brought under such strict surveillance,” said Lt Col Ashik Billah, director (legal and media wing) of RAB, on Sunday. He termed this year’s 31st night a little different as people are going to welcome the New Year amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Mentioning that the RAB’s cyber unit will carry out special surveillance through social media, he said that all kinds of security measures have been taken around December 31. The RAB spokesperson further said that RAB will work in coordination with other law enforcement agencies.
