RAJUK demolishes Moudud's former houseThe Rajdhani Unnoyon Kartripakkha (RAJUK) has begun demolishing the former Gulshan residence of BNP leader Moudud Ahmed.BNP standing committee member Moudud was evicted from the property 18 days ago following an order from the Supreme Court.Capital development authority RAJUK started started taking down the house at 159 Gulshan Avenue at 9am on Sunday, said Gulshan Police Station SI Khan Nurul Islami.RAJUK workers were using bulldozers and other machines to clear the one-storey building while few trucks were waiting to remove the debris.The Dhaka city development authority took charge of the property on June 7 after a decision by the apex court.According to RAJUK calculations the land is worth between Tk 3-3.5 billion, reports bdnews24.com.
