The construction output growth forecast for Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) in 2020 has been cut down to -4.9% from previous forecast of 0.7%, according to GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company. Nigeria’s economy contracted by 6.1% year on year in Q2 2020 – the steepest in the last ten years. EthiopiaGlobalData has cut Ethiopia’s construction growth to 3.1%, from an earlier estimate of 7.8% in 2020, and to 5% in 2021. ZambiaFor Zambia, GlobalData has cut its construction output growth forecast to -8% in 2020 from an earlier estimate of -3% in 2020.
