Record winless run set to be extended in Beirut

Cheng Hoe said he accepted the expected fall-out when the squad returns from Beirut before playing another friendly against Nepal in Bukit Jalil on Apr 1. The draw with Mongolia meant the national team has gone 11 international matches without a win - the longest in the country's history. "We don't have a chance to qualify even if we beat Lebanon," said Cheng Hoe. While attributing his decision to leave out JDT players to fan criticism, Cheng Hoe urged the supporters to get behind the team. "We can't force people to support us but I appeal to them because this is a matter of pride for the national team," he said.
