Jack Sherman, a guitarist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers during their debut in the 1980s, has died at the age of 64. “We of the RHCP family would like to wish Jack Sherman smooth sailing into the worlds beyond, for he has passed,” the group said on Instagram. “Jack played on our debut album as well as our first tour of the USA. Sherman replaced Hillel Slovak as guitarist in 1983 ahead of the group's debut.
