Reliance Infrastructure (RInfra) has won two Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects in neighbouring Bangladesh for setting up Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) based power plant and LNG terminal plant. The total value of these two projects combined is around Rs 5,000 crore. The LNG based power plant will be of 750 MW at Meghnaghat in Dhaka, while the other project is for building 500 Million Standard Cubic Feet Per Day (MMSCFD) floating storage regasification unit based integrated LNG terminal at Kutubdia Island. The integrated LNG terminal project works would include setting up jetty and onshore and offshore gas pipelines,” read RInfra’s announcement statement.
