Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, is set to grace the closing ceremony of the third edition of the National Para Games at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja today, The PUNCH reports. The National Sports Commission confirmed on Thursday that the First Lady, a long-standing advocate and supporter of para sports in Nigeria, will serve as the special guest of honour as the Games conclude on Friday in the main bowl of the stadium. “Nigeria’s first lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, has confirmed her presence to grace the closing ceremony of the 3rd edition of the National Para Games,” the NSC statement read. The first lady has publicly championed sports development in Nigeria, offering investment, funding, and support for a wide range of disciplines. The 2026 National Para Games, having kicked off on March 26, are scheduled to run until April 3.
