‘#WeAreKannur’, the app that serves as the Kannur district administration’s platform with features useful for people, now has a new module that will facilitate users to file complaints or report corruption in any of the offices listed on the app. The entire complaint/report is encrypted using secure encryption, officials of the National Informatics Centre here, which developed the app, said. The app provides details of more than 2,500 institutions in Kannur district with facilities to locate, call, rate, and submit a review based on the experiences of the user. One of the important features is the facility to push direct notifications to the mobile app users by the District Collector. The NIC district centre here is also a Centre of Competence for the Mobile Application Development.
