India is experiencing the biggest Covid-19 surge on the planet at the moment, but you'd never say if you were watching the Indian Premier League (IPL) that continues on its merry way. The country posted a global record 315 000 daily Covid cases on Thursday as their hospitals in New Delhi sent out warnings, desperately, that patients could die without fresh oxygen supplies. India is in the midst of a second wave and a devastating "double mutant" variant that has ripped through the country and raised their total number of cases to 15.9 million, the world's second-highest.
