The Scottish Government sports minister snubbed a summit about how to get Scotland national football games on terrestrial TV- despite the nationalist party's long running grievance campaign to do so. It is a favourite complaint from Scexiteers that England football matches are shown on Channel 4 but subscription service Viaplay has the rights to clashes involving Steve Clarke's team. The SNP has demanded that Scotland games be included in the listed events which must be broadcast on terrestrial TV, like Wimbledon, the Euros and the World Cup. (Image: SNS Group)It is understood that the BBC did attempt to do similar for Scotland games but could not match the money offered by Swedish company Viaplay. I hope the SFA work closely with broadcasters to ensure that the Tartan Army can always watch these important games, free-to-view."
