SPM 2025 results improve across most states


KUALA LUMPUR: The 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) results recorded encouraging progress across several states, with improvements in the Grade Point Average (GPN) and a rise in the number of high-achieving candidates. In the capital, state education director Megat Affandi Ismail said the GPN improved to 4.57 from 4.61 in 2024, marking the best performance since 2014. State education director Nadimin Abdul Aziz said 99.19 per cent of candidates qualified for certificates, with 195 achieving straight A grades. State education director Zulkafli Mohamed Mokhtar said a total of 1,008 out of 28,058 candidates achieved excellent results, including 26 with straight A+. Its education director, Omar Mahli, said the urban-rural gap also narrowed further, indicating improved access and education quality.
