Ghana sets new producer price for remainder of 2025/2026 cocoa seasonThe Minority further indicated that the reduction in the producer price of cocoa will have serious consequences for farmers and their families. They warned that cocoa farmers are already expressing anger and may take to the streets in protest if the decision is not reversed. "Already, we are receiving messages from cocoa farmers who say that if this is what is going to happen, they are going to demonstrate in a number of days. The new rate represents a significant reduction from the initial price of GH¢51,660 per tonne set at the beginning of the season.
