Sixty-two 2018 model year cars earned top ratings in the most recent annual evaluations aimed to help consumers more easily identify the safest vehicles. All but one of the seven vehicles in Subaru's 2018 lineup earned one of the awards. In addition, to qualify for Top Safety Pick +, cars must be rated good for headlights and good or acceptable in the new passenger-side small overlap crash test. "Manufacturers have been taking this issue seriously since we first shed light on it, and we're confident that good small overlap protection will become the norm on the passenger side, just as it has on the driver side." This year, all 62 award winning vehicles for the 2018 model year are available with headlights that are good or acceptable.
