Ahmed Gaddafi, cousin of Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, released an account that he claims details the final moments before the assassination. According to the account in the video, Ahmed Gaddafi stated that Saif al-Islam was preparing to have breakfast at his home with only his personal aide, Ahmed Al-Ajmi, present. He explained that during a phone call with a political team, Saif al-Islam mentioned hearing “strange movement in the garden” before stepping out to investigate. He added that gunshots were heard moments later, and those on the call were informed of what had transpired. According to the same account, when Saif al-Islam's relatives arrived at the house, they found him dead alongside his aide.
