Sales of electric autos slide by 32.8pc in seven monthsChinese new-energy vehicle start-up Byton has suspend operations for a strategic reorganization due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic in the mainland. Sales of new-energy vehicles in China posted robust growth in July, industry data showed. In the first seven months, 486,000 NEVs were sold, down 32.8 percent on-year. Total output reached 2.2 million in July, up 21.9 percent, on year, while sales hit 2.1 million, up by 16.4 percent on-year. China's auto market, which was devasted by the mainland's coronavirus pandemic, started to recover in April, with sales rising by 4.4 percent on year.
