Saudi Arabia has approved transit for Libyans stranded in Bahrain who want to return home, according to the Libyan Embassy in Manama. The embassy said Saudi authorities had approved transit lists for travellers registered to return to Libya while Bahrain International Airport remains closed. Under the arrangement, travellers will be allowed to stay in Saudi Arabia for up to four days from the date of entry, the embassy said. Travellers must have a confirmed flight booking from Saudi Arabia to Libya before entering the country. The measure took effect on Thursday, 12 March, with visas issued at the land border crossing for those whose names appear on the approved lists.
