Five years ago, Rajeev Nrupathunga was a BCom student, teaching high school children history in his free time. In the course of these classes, he became fascinated with history and began visiting monuments in Bengaluru. I wrote many letters to local and archaeological authorities but nothing much happened.”As he finished graduation, Rajeev took up History at the postgraduate level and started the Heritage Revival hub with some students from the history department of the Oxford pre university college in 2013. “We have also tried to trace the history of important locales such as Begur and many temples in the region as well. There are many historical temples and sites, where people often carry out processions and pray, without understanding the history of the place.
