Scotland Yard has asked that the Home Office provide another year of funding in the search for Madeleine McCann. The Home Office received the official request from detectives today as funding for Operation Grange begins to run out. It is hoped the extra funding, which will see investigations continue until March 2020, will bring new hope in finding Madeleine. However in 2015 the British investigations into the disappearance of Madeleine were scaled down from a team of 29 officers to just four. At the time Scotland Yard had insisted that they would be continuing the search but with a 'smaller team'.
