However, Sigei said there had been slight improvements since the Kenya Kwanza government took over. Sigei also said reducing the cost of living would also require a significant period. "It is important to acknowledge the government's efforts to lower the cost of living," he said. "In terms of what the government has done to lower the cost of living, we are on a positive trend," Sigei said.
