Shab-e-Barat will be observed across Pakistan tonight with deep devotion and respect, as Muslims engage in special prayers and religious activities. Mosques and homes will host special night-long worship, where people will offer Nawafil prayers, recite the Holy Quran, and engage in supplications. Religious scholars say Shab-e-Barat is a night filled with immense blessings and divine mercy. Scholars explain that while Allah Almighty’s mercy continuously descends upon His servants, certain moments are granted special significance, and Shab-e-Barat is among them. Chairman of the Council of Islamic Ideology, Allama Raghib Naeemi, said that Shab-e-Barat is also known as Lailat-ul-Mubarakah (the Blessed Night).
