Passenger numbers at Shannon Airport last year increased by 9pc to 2.3 million, the highest number in 16 years. Interim chief executive of the Shannon Airport Group, Ray O’Driscoll, said it had invested over €20m in projects that had a tangible benefit to passengers and its sustainability goals.
