Hitting back at Prime Minister Imran Khan over his allegations that opposition was part of a “foreign conspiracy” to topple his government through no-confidence motion, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday claimed that the premier was conspiring to divide the nation instead of acknowledging his defeat. The opposition leader, addressing a press conference in the federal capital, said that a treason case should be registered against Prime Minister Imran. “I have said this many times before… the independence of the nation is meaningless if it is not economically self-sufficient,” he remarked. He added that Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) is a democratic party, which has decided to support the opposition unconditionally. “If Imran Khan is a good sportsman then he should show sportsmanship.”He pointed out that a no-trust motion has been filed against Prime Minister Imran so he cannot dissolve the assembly now.
