The mother of Karnataka Minister DK Shivakumar, whose house and offices are being raided by the income tax department, has hit out at Siddaramaiah, saying that while people wanted to see her son grow, the chief minister was trying to create hurdles in his path. I don't know what Siddaramaiah has in his mind. He is placing hurdles in the path of my son. People like him grew in politics because of my son", Shivakumar's mother Gowramma said. Shivakumar's brother DK Suresh Kumar has clarified that the remarks by his mother came under pressure and out of anxiety and that she did not really mean what she said.
