CAIRO – 17 September 2020: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el Sisi directed, Thursday to name a new axis located east Cairo after former Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe. Earlier, Thursday Sisi met Ronald S. Lauder president of the World Jewish Congress, and discussed with him the latest political developments in the Middle East, along with the Egyptian-American relations. According to presidency spokesperson Bassam Rady, Chief General Intelligence Major General Abbas Kamel attended the meeting. The call tackled a number of issues and dossiers of mutual interest between Egypt and the EU. The discussions also touched on the various aspects of the institutional relations between Egypt and the EU, including their political, economic and developmental dimensions.
