President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi told Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Saturday that the security of Saudi Arabia is an “integral part of Arab national security.”In a telephone call following Iranian attacks on Saudi territory, Sisi stressed Egypt’s solidarity with the kingdom’s leadership and people. He added that continued military escalation would bring nothing but further suffering and undermine development opportunities. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s supportive stance, praising the depth of historical relations and brotherly ties between the two nations. The exchange comes amid a major escalation where Iran fired missiles at several Gulf cities in retaliation for US and Israeli strikes on Iran. The Iranian Revolutionary Guards claimed responsibility for the strikes, stating they targeted “all occupied territories and criminal U.S. bases in the region.”
