LONDON—British officials say six Iranian men have been found on a beach in southeastern England as the number of migrants making risky crossings of the English Channel continues to mount. People walk on the beach at Kingsdown, near Deal, where six migrants landed by dinghy early this morning on December 30, 2018 in Dover, England. The growing number of migrants attempting to cross the English Channel has been declared a "major incident" by UK home secretary Sajid Javid. There has been an increase in recent weeks in the number of migrants travelling from France to England in small boats. Home Secretary Sajid Javid has called the crossings a “major incident” and reached out to French officials for more co-ordination.
