South Korean investor eyes HCMC transport projectsSouth Korea’s GS Engineering & Construction Corporation (GS E&C) proposed it expand its investment in the city’s infrastructure development, especially in transport, at a meeting with city leaders on August 23. A representative from GS E&C’s Project Management Department confirmed with VET that GS E&C will focus on infrastructure development projects in the southern city. Representatives from GS E&C told the meeting that the company has been conducting research so it can participate in projects within the Ben Thanh - Tham Luong Metro Line No. He also hopes the company will participate in other infrastructure projects in the city. It also provides EPC and commissioning of thermal and combined cycle power plant projects, combined heat power and district heating plants, and nuclear power projects.
