The SAS and SBS tied neck and neck in every test during training in the Welsh countryside. The SAS won with a Women’s Institute favourite – a Victoria sponge with jam and cream. “Commanders of both forces decided they would give teams points for how they competed during various skills tests. "But they declared a draw after five days and decided that three members of each force would each bake a Victoria sponge in a competition. “It was meant to be for fun but everything is a competition between the SAS and the SBS.”
