Pol Col Prasert Srikhunrat, the Phuket marine police chief, said the Lee Loo 2 caught fire about 4.30pm at the Yamu boat pier in tambon Pak Khlok. The owner said he brought his boat to the pier after dropping some tourists ashore The fire started while the twin-engine boat was being refuelled. The damage to the two fibreglass boats, which were uninsured, was estimated at 1 million baht.
