Speed restrictions imposed on Glasgow trains due to weather warning


Network Rail has confirmed trains travelling between Glasgow Central and Stranrear/ Carlisle via Kilmarnock and Dumfries will be affected and journey times may be extended. The restrictions will be in place from midnight until around 2.50pm on Sunday, January 21. The restrictions may change depending on the weather. It comes after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for rain from 5pm until midnight in Dumfries and Galloway and the western Borders. ScotRail has advised all passengers should check their journey ahead of travelling.
