State Minister for Religious Affairs Sheikh Md Abdullah CollectedAbdullah was buried next to his parents' gravesState minister for the Religious Affairs Ministry, Sheikh Md Abdullah, was buried beside his parents’ graves at his village in Gopalganj after Asr prayers on Sunday. The state minister passed away late Saturday night at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in the capital at the age of 74. "He breathed his last at 11:45pm (on Saturday) at CMH," a personal aide to the state minister said. Abdullah was Awami League's religious affairs secretary as well. President Md Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed their deep shock at his demise while they prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
