The district administration has decided to initiate stringent measures to prevent the dumping of septage waste in waterbodies, including Vembanad Lake. Those dumping waste will be dealt with. Officials said more mobile septage units would be introduced in the district. But, permanent septage treatment centres cannot be established due to opposition from local people. The solution is mobile septage units,” Dr. Isaac said.
