Peter Crouch took aim at those who criticised Steven Gerrard's induction into the Premier League's Hall of Fame. Gerrard became the seventh member enrolled into the Hall of Fame following his prestigious career at Liverpool. Having never gone on to win a Premier League title - the first player inducted not to do so - criticisms were levelled against Gerrard's selection ahead of other shortlisted candidates such as Paul Scholes and John Terry. Gerrard enjoyed a prestigious Premier League career at Anfield where he went on to make 504 appearances between his debut in 1998 and when he walked away in 2015. He netted 120 goals and went on to add a further 92 assists during his Premier League career.
