Stop sacking county staff without reason, Lusaka tells wangamati


Senate speaker Kenneth Lusaka has asked Bungoma governor Wycliffe Wangamati to stop sacking county workers who were employed during his(Lusaka's) tenure. Speaking in Bungoma over the weekend, Lusaka blamed Wangamati for victimising the employees because they supported him (Lusaka) during the last elections. Read: We'll not sack staff hired by Lusaka, Wangamati assures residents''If they have failed to perform that's their own problem, but sacking them because they supported Jubilee then that is wrong,'' he warned. When Wangamati took over the office, he first sacked all County Executive Committee members followed by public service board members whose term of office had not elapsed. Lusaka promised Bungoma residents that despite him being the Senate speaker he will still be visiting the area to complete his unfinished projects.
