Met Éireann have issued weather warnings for six counties, saying bands of rain with Storm Chandra will be “heavy and persistent”. Status Yellow rain warnings for Carlow, Kilkenny, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow and Waterford will come into effect at midnight tonight and remain in place for almost 24 hours, ending at 11pm, Tuesday. Forecasters have also issued Status Yellow wind warnings for Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Kilkenny, Wicklow, Carlow, Meath, Kildare, Monaghan and Cavan.
