The Hospital Authority's Chief Manager of Patient Safety and Risk Management, Dr Sara Ho, confirmed today that emails and letters had been sent to workers who dir nor report to work between February 3 and 7. She said the human resources department will find out why, before follow up actions. Ho said the HA has 80,000 employees, and stressed that every worker is treated equally. She also said since HA provides 24-hour services, it must know the duty situation regarding clinical operations and send staff to maintain services. Hospitals workers including doctors walked out early this month to force the closure of land borders to stem the coronavirus from spreading.
