Micheál Martin is tied with Holly Cairns as the most popular party leader, according to today's poll, while his Fianna Fáil party is also up by one percentage point to 19pcThe latest Sunday Independent/Ireland Thinks poll was conducted on Thursday and Friday, April 2 and 3. The sample size was 1,286 and the margin of error is +/-2.8pc. Changes indicated are since the March 2026 poll unless otherwise stated.
