Lipi's cousin, Anna Milky, collected the nomination form, on behalf of Lipi, at the Awami League president's political office in Dhanmondi—around 11am on Friday—confirmed Awami League deputy office secretary Biplob Barua. Previously, on Thursday, five other aspirants collected nomination papers to run in the re-election of Kishoreganj 1 constituency. The Kishoreganj constituency seat fell vacant following the death of MP-elect and former Awami League general secretary Syed Ashraful Islam. Meanwhile, Syed Ashraful Islam's younger brother, Syed Shafayetul Islam, and four others have collected party nomination forms for the Kishoreganj 1 constituency.
