Quick ceremonyThere were unconfirmed reports that the Special Branch wing of the police had received a tip-off on possible agitations against TDB members. In the absence of the chief guests, the temple authorities wound up the cultural conference in 10 minutes. The authorities, however, dismissed the allegations and said the TDB president had conveyed his inability to attend the ceremony well in advance. The other TDB members might have skipped the event because of that, they said.
