Ahona was seriously injured in the road accident on the morning of January 8. The car was hit when a truck driver took a wrong turn. Severely injured Ahona was immediately taken to Uttara Crescent Hospital, and later transferred to Apollo Hospital on January 14 for further treatment as her condition was deteriorating. Based on a tip-off, police arrested accused truck driver Sumon, 27, from Savar, and his assistant Rumman, 16, from Khejur Bagan area of Ashulia, in separate drives on January 12.
