MANILA, Philippines — The local government of Taguig will be offering new packages under its scholarship program which will benefit student-athletes and public servants. Series of 2020 will continue scholarship programs, which covers 55,000 scholars in the college-level and 10,000 in the high school level. ADVERTISEMENTThe ordinance will also create new scholarship packages that cover athletes, students in selected fields and officials in Taguig local government who would want to continue their education. Under the government’s new packages, the Advancing Sports’ Competitiveness and Excellence offers incentives to student-athletes including supplementary allowances and incentives for winning athletes. The scholarship program also renders free tuition and other miscellaneous fees.
