Another promising British technology company falls prey to an American predator. This time it’s Depop, the vintage clothes exchange, which is being snapped up by Etsy, the arts and crafts market, for £1.1 billion. Nvidia, the American graphics card and microchip maker, is trying to buy Arm Holdings, the British chip designer, for £28 billion.
